To celebrate 75 years of the championship, and donating well over £500,000 to the trade charities the event will be held at The Druids Glen Resort in County Wicklow, Ireland, in June on the 24th, 25th and 26th.
The resort, nestled in 360 acres of County Wicklow countryside, yet only 30 minutes south of Dublin, has two championship courses and a five-star luxury hotel. The Druids Glen Course, often known as the “Augusta of Europe” has held the Irish Open four times, and the quality of the field being reflected in winners such as Colin Montgomery and Sergio Garcia. The course features tree lined fairways which demand accurate driving, whilst the back nine sees numerous approach shots over water testing the nerve of all golfers.
The Druids Heath Course is a heath land course with strong links influences, providing stunning views to the Irish sea and the Wicklow mountains. It has wide fairways, large greens and water to ensure that the mind is always focused.
