Taking their first steps within the industry in 1924, husband and wife team, Charles and Eveline Clinkard, opened their first branch in Middlesbrough, a store which remains with the company today. The business model was simple; provide high quality shoes and a five-star customer experience – values that continue to influence the company today.
Receiving the accolade of Drapers Multiple Footwear Retailer of the Year in 2019, Charles Clinkard offers a wide selection of shoes for men, women, boys and girls, plus statement seasonal accessories. Adult brands include, Gabor, Rieker, Josef Seibel and FitFlop, as well as Skechers, Loake, Merrell and many more. For the kids Start-Rite, Geox, Clarks and Hush Puppies are great back to school brands with Converse, Lelli Kelly and Nike leading the way in casual comforts.
