To mark the opening of the Shoemakers Museum, audiences are invited to an evening of short talks celebrating the sole of British shoemaking.
Sole Stories is a free, one-night-only event of fast-paced TED-style talks exploring the heritage of craftsmanship.
From traditional techniques to future-facing technology such as 3D printing and sustainable leather, the evening will stitch together master cobblers, fashion enthusiasts, historians, designers, and industry disruptors for a celebration of insight, innovation, and inspiration.
The programme will feature up to eight short, sharp talks, each lasting a maximum of 15 minutes, offering a journey through time and craft. From fashionistas and footwear lovers to makers and designers, this event promises a vibrant opportunity to connect and share ideas while keeping the industry alive.
Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance. Step into the fascinating world of footwear and discover the stories behind the shoes.
This event is presented by Shoemakers Museum and Street and Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce, with support from Strode Theatre.
