The family-owned, award-winning UK chemical manufacturer celebrated its 150th anniversary this month.
Robinson Brothers opened its doors to employee’s families, shareholders and partners in the chemical industry, hosting an event for more than 900 attendees at its West Bromwich site.
Visitors were entertained with a range of chemistry and engineering demonstrations showing a selection of the manufacturing processes carried out at the site.
Adrian Hanrahan, Managing Director of Robinson Brothers said: “Our partners CDR Pumps, Flotronic Pumps, Waterwide, Harnwick Freight, NERO Pipeline Connections, KMB Shipping, Positive Weighing Solutions and Floserve participated in the festivities. This demonstrates the very strong relationships that Robinson Brothers has developed with our key suppliers. The day could not have worked without the support of our excellent partners.”
During the event visitors had the opportunity to view Toyota’s hydrogen fuel cell electric car, Toyota Mirai, as presented by the National Physical Laboratory and showcased an informative display from local Sandwell Naturalists. The day also featured guest appearances from Sameena Ali Khan from ITV Central News, and local inspirational speaker Blind Dave Heeley renowned for completing the seven-marathon challenge.
Mr Hanrahan added: “Both Sameena and Dave were fantastic and very engaging with everyone, it was a real pleasure to have them involved in our celebrations”.
