Presented by Annie Hunter and Sachin Chauhan of Innovation Tax

We are pleased to have the chance to welcome one of our new Partners, Innovation Tax for this webinar on rewarding innovation and maximising Government Funding. It will be on Thursday 28th July 2022 at 11am.

Join Innovation Tax for a brief introduction to its business and how it can help our Members. It helps businesses maximise Government Funding through measures designed to reward companies investing in Innovation, R&D, sustainability and capital expenditure. Together these incentives enable businesses to apply for valuable support to bring their solutions to market.

The webinar will focus on existing support which is available for the Footwear Sector:

R&D Tax Credits: enable businesses to recover up to 33% of costs invested in compliant activities, such as developing new products (or improving existing ones), software and system development, improving manufacturing / production processes and trialling new (or alternative) development methods to seek improvements.

Capital Allowances: enable taxpayers to obtain tax relief on any capital expenditure they incur. Companies or individuals who either own an existing commercial property (or are in the process of buying one) or who have undertaken large property improvement works would be highly likely to qualify for additional relief over and above amounts which may have already been claimed.

Patent Box: enable businesses to obtain significant tax savings from income derived from patented products (and/or processes) by applying a reduced corporation tax rate of 10% on profits derived from patented inventions.

Grants: these are a valuable source of funding to enable businesses to obtain the necessary cash flow to fund business growth activities, such as purchase of new equipment, sustainability improvements, research and development through Government funded organisations such as Innovate UK, UKRI, local enterprise partnerships and councils, to name a few.

After the presentation, there will be an open Q&A session. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have to Annie and Sachin.
