Footwear Friends annual awards open to up and coming shoe talent

National charity Footwear Friends  are now accepting entries for their prestigious and respected annual awards – dedicated to celebrating and developing British shoe design talent.

Footwear Friends, , which is now in it’s 183rd year of offering support to those in need, established the awards, one of which is BFA sponsored,  in a bid to recognise young entrepreneurs.

Judging will take place in September and the awards themselves will be presented at an event hosted by Footwear Friends at The Crypt on the Green on October 9th 2019.

The awards for 2019 are:

The Worshipful Company of Cordwainer’s Award for Innovation/ Entrepreneurship of £5,000 –  to further Designers/Entrepreneurs business expertise (additionally there is a twelve-month tailored mentoring programme  by industry specialists.)

The Micro-Pak Ltd Award of £2,500 –This award is to assist the development of exceptional British talent. The Award also includes a mentoring programme

The BFA Award –This award gives the winner a year’s free membership as an Associate Member. The Award brings access to all BFA services.
