About In Kind Direct

Founded in 1996 by HM King Charles III, In Kind Direct is the UK charity powering over 5,000 communities through product giving.

In Kind Direct receive donated consumer products, which they then sort, store and distribute directly to their network of over 5,000 charitable organisations, including charities, community groups, foodbanks and schools. They help charities services go further in supporting vulnerable people and communities across a wide range of social issues, from hygiene poverty and domestic abuse, to unemployment, homelessness and mental health issues.

In Kind Direct help donating companies create a positive social & environmental impact. So far, they have worked with 1,300 donating companies, supported over 12,200 charitable organisations, unlocked savings of £300m and diverted almost 35,000 tonnes of product from landfill.

From market leading brands, retailers and grocers, to category champions and start-ups, donating products to In Kind Direct allows companies to reach not one, but thousands of charitable organisations across the UK through one simple point of contact. The BFA is run for and by our members – by becoming a partner you join a network of some of the foremost businesses within the UK footwear sector. Whatever business products or services you are marketing, BFA members are always keen to adopt that which enhances their business, makes their operations more efficient or increases their profits.

The BFA hold regular networking events and themed webinars, where we encourage partners to take the reins and showcase their businesses and services to our membership. We also enable partners to have an input in what we say to the Government and we ensure they receive Whitehall’s responses first-hand.
